CV vs Résumé
A CV is short for Curriculum Vitae. It is a detailed formal written record of a person’s education, achievements, work experience, along with other relevant information. CV is a comprehensive document that provides an extensive overview of a person’s work.
On the other hand, a Résumé is a concise (usually one page) formal document summarizing an individual’s education, work experience, skills, and accomplishments. It serves as a snapshot of the applicant’s qualifications and background, designed to showcase their suitability for a specific position to potential employers.
NOTE:Unlike a résumé, a CV is typically used in academic, research, or international settings and can be longer in length, presenting a more comprehensive picture of the individual’s qualifications and career history.
