RE – 101 ‘DP’
7. Compose a dialogue between two friends who are talking about their preparation for SEE in at least six exchanges. [6]
(Two friends are walking home after school.)
Jwala: So, you’re ready for SEE?
Anita: No. I haven’t even started. I don’t know where to start.
Jwala: What? Are you serious! Ok, don’t worry, I’ll help you.
Anita: Great! I’d be very glad to know how you are preparing.
(Jwala stops to open her bag and pulls out a notebook.)
Jwala: Here, take a look. This is my schedule.
Anita: Wow! (Expressing shock) You’re so organized! But this looks all Greek to me.
Jwala: Don’t worry. Let me explain. First start with the easy subjects. Review them first.
Anita: Hmm. But shouldn’t you start with difficult subjects first? Try to solve the difficult questions like math or science?
Jwala: No! (With a sign of refusal) This is where most students get it wrong. You don’t start with difficult things first. You start with easy stuff and then go to difficult ones.
Anita: How will that help? I don’t get it!
Jwala: Well, when you finish reviewing subjects that are easy, you can then focus on things that are tough. This will motivate you and you save time.
Anita: A ha! (Finally understanding) I think I get it now. So I should start with subjects that are easy for me?
Jwala: Exactly! Why don’t you make a schedule and show me tomorrow?
Anita: Sure! Can I take a picture of your schedule?
Jwala: Of course! Here.
(Anita snaps a picture of the schedule.)
Anita: Great! I’ll see you tomorrow at school. Thanks a lot! (Waives goodbye)
Jwala: No worries! I’m always happy to help!
(Both part ways to go home.)
