Friend’s Wedding
One of my friends is getting married soon. I was invited to go to his wedding. Usually, I don’t go to weddings but he is my best friend. He is getting married in Mumbai and we live in Pune. I had to take a bus because there were no flights that day. Also, I had to travel by myself because other friends were only invited to the reception in Pune.
I arrived in a town near Mumbai one day before the wedding, so I would not be late. That evening I went to look around and explore the neighborhood near my hotel. It was not very crowded. I bought some souvenirs from my parents and friends in Pune.
As I was traveling to Mumbai by bus to attend the marriage of a friend, I got stuck in a traffic jam. This was my first time in Mumbai, so I had no idea how bad the traffic problem was here. So I decided to take the train. However, I reached the railway station late. I quickly jumped on the train that was about to leave next. I had boarded the wrong train and I only realized it after two hours. Now I was really in trouble. So, I quickly jumped off the train at the next station. I asked for help from the station master who advised me to take a taxi to the wedding. After 3 hours, I finally arrived and found that the wedding was the day after. I was a day early.
Moral: Despite careful preparation, things may not go as planned.
