ANSWER:
The Little Fish
In a beautiful small pond, a little fish lived with its mother. The little fish swam joyfully beside its nurturing mother. Their life was happy and content, shielded from the chaos of the outside world. However, the little fish, one day, grew too curious and restless of the simple life.
One day, the little fish spotted a swarm of worms floating on the water’s surface, so he was tempted to swim up to the surface to catch some. But just as he was about to catch the worm, his mother stopped him. She warned him of the unseen danger that was lurking on the surface.
Despite its mother’s warning about the dangers, the little fish didn’t listen. Instead, he blamed her for not giving him opportunities to explore and see the world for himself. He felt his mother was too controlling. So, one day he swam up to the surface. He disobeyed his mother.
The little fish lunged for the worm but unfortunately got caught in the fish hook. He had no idea what had happened. Right then as he was trying to figure out what was happening, he was pulled out of the water. It was too late for him to realize his mistake because he was not in the water anymore. He struggled to escape, but it was all too late.
Moral: It is always wise to listen to your elders.
