Q7. Write a dialogue between you and your father talking about a new teacher who has recently joined your school. Write six exchanges. [6]
(A father is picking up his son from school in his car.)
Father: Son, get in the car or we’ll create traffic.
Son: Yes, father.
(Son quickly gets in the car.)
Father: So, how was school today? Anything new?
Son: Yes, father. We’ve got a new teacher at school!
Father: Really? Great! What subject does the new teacher teach?
Son: She’s teaching English and Literature. Everyone seems to be quite excited about her classes.
Father: That’s great to hear. A good English teacher can make a big difference in your learning experience.
Son: Absolutely. And you know what’s even cooler? She’s got a unique way of making Shakespeare actually seem enjoyable.
Father: Well, that’s quite a talent. It’s important to make the classics engaging for students.
Son: Yeah, and she’s also really approachable. Students are comfortable asking questions and participating in discussions.
Father: That’s a valuable trait for a teacher. A welcoming environment encourages better learning. In my day, teachers were very strict and unapproachable.
Son: Definitely. Oh, and she’s planning to organize a reading club too. I’m thinking of joining.
Father: Great! Reading clubs can broaden your perspectives and improve your reading skills.
Son: I thought you’d like the sound of that.
(They arrive at home.)
Father: We’re home! Clean up, eat, relax, then do your schoolwork.
Son: Sure, father. I’m really excited about English homework.
Father: It’s great to see you enthusiastic about your school and learning. Remember, a good teacher is as good as her students, so you have to work just as hard.
Son: Thanks, father. I’ll do my best for sure.
(Son goes to his room.)DIALOG
