7. People, in our society, tend to spend money beyond the capacity for showing off in the name of festivals and celebrations. Write two paragraphs in about 150 words expressing your views on the issue. [6]

In our society, many people spend a lot of money during festivals and celebrations. They want to show others that they are rich or modern, so they buy expensive clothes, big decorations, and even waste food. Sometimes they even borrow money from others just to celebrate in a grand way. This habit is not good because it creates competition among neighbors and relatives. Poor families also feel pressure to spend more than they can afford, just to show they are not less than others.

Festivals are meant for happiness, family gathering, and cultural values, not for showing off. If people spend money beyond their capacity, they will suffer later with loans and financial problems. It is better to celebrate in a simple way with love, unity, and blessings. True joy of festivals is in sharing, helping the needy, and remembering our traditions. We must learn to live within our means.

In today’s society, many people spend far beyond their means during festivals and celebrations. They often do this to impress others or to show off their wealth, buying costly clothes, elaborate decorations, and organizing extravagant parties. In some cases, families even take loans just to maintain a certain image. This behavior creates unhealthy competition among neighbors and relatives, while also placing unnecessary pressure on families who may not be financially stable. Instead of bringing joy, such spending often results in stress and long-term financial difficulties.

Festivals should be about togetherness, joy, and cultural traditions, not material display. Overspending can overshadow the true spirit of these occasions. The real happiness lies in celebrating with love, gratitude, and unity. Helping those in need and preserving our cultural values is far more meaningful than showing off. By learning to live within our means, we can keep the essence of our festivals alive and enjoy them without regret.

In our society, festivals and celebrations are seen as special moments, and many people spend a lot of money to make them memorable. Families often feel that grand decorations, expensive clothes, and big gatherings show their love and respect for traditions. For some, celebrating in a lavish way is also a chance to express happiness and share their success with others. In this sense, spending more during festivals can bring joy, pride, and stronger social bonds.

However, problems arise when people spend beyond their financial capacity just to impress others. Taking loans or using up savings for a single event can create stress and difficulties later. The true spirit of festivals lies in unity, love, and cultural values, not in competition or show. Celebrating in a simple and meaningful way allows everyone to enjoy without financial burden. By balancing joy with responsibility, we can keep both happiness and stability in our lives.
